Author Description I'm the author of the forthcoming story collection AN ORAL HISTORY OF ATLANTIS (July 2025)—preorder it now! <br /><br />My novel SAME BED DIFFERENT DREAMS (2023) was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for fiction. <br /><br />My debut novel, PERSONAL DAYS (2008), was named a top 10 fiction book by Time Magazine and one of the decade's top 10 pop culture moments by The Atlantic. It was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award, the Asian American Literary Award, and the John Sargent Sr. First Novel Prize. <br /><br />WEIRD MENACE, a long story in the form of a DVD commentary track, is available as an Audible Original. (It also appears in AN ORAL HISTORY OF ATLANTIS.) Next year, I have a curious book called THREE TENSES coming out.<br /><br />What else?
